North Kingstown is considered part of ‘South County’ Rhode Island and is on the West Bay side of Narragansett Bay. Its’ population is about 27,000 residents located on 45 square miles of land. It features 15 square miles of water which makes it an attractive waterfront town for living, vacations or retirement.

North Kingstown is home to the birthplace of American portraitist Gilbert Stuart, who was born in the village of Saunderstown. Within the town is Quonset Point, location of the former Naval Air Station as well it’s centerpiece—the historic village of Wickford where seafood, specialty shops and the annual Art Festival are the highlights of a visit to the area.

The town is located in the central part of the state with short access to route 95. The new Wickford train station is part of the MBTA and serves Warwick, Providence and Boston Ma.

The school systems in North Kingstown are highly rated and in 2019 the North Kingstown High School was rated one of the top high schools in the country by U.S. News & World Reports.

There are many things to do in North Kingstown including all types of water sports, beaches in town, as well as quick access to nearby ocean beaches. There are several historical sites and working farms to visit as well as hiking trails, a marine biomes center and a fast ferry to Martha’s Vineyard.
